Track 07. Engineering Education: Redefining Skills, Pedagogy, and Ethics in the AI Era

Engineering Education, as Education in general, is facing profound changes driven by the rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence across educational and professional contexts. AI technologies are reshaping how students develop the necessary competences required by engineering professions, how knowledge is assessed, and how learning environments are designed. These developments raise new pedagogical, ethical, and institutional challenges, requiring a rethinking of curricula, teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and competency frameworks.
This track aims to provide a multidisciplinary forum for teachers / researchers to discuss the role of AI in engineering education, addressing both opportunities and risks. Contributions may explore innovative teaching and learning approaches, curriculum redesign, ethical and responsible use of AI, learning analytics, AI-supported assessment, faculty development, and the impact of AI on future engineering skills. This track prioritizes evidence-based insights that support the development of inclusive, sustainable, and future-oriented engineering education.
