The presentations will be during the conference. All papers must be presented face-to-face. Online presentations are not allowed. Papers must be presented to get the certificate and publish the paper in the proceedings.
Presentation during the Conference
- The authors will present face-to-face their work.
- The duration of the presentations shall not exceed 5 minutes.
- Slides are not mandatory, in fact, we recommend not to use them.
- The conference session will be focused on discussion and connection between the author and attendants.
Doctoral Consortium – Presentation Structure
In addition to the general presentation instructions above, Doctoral Consortium authors are kindly asked to structure their presentation according to their year of study, as detailed below. Underlined items indicate the main topics to be addressed at each stage; non-underlined items refer to a brief recap of previous or future work.
- First year: Presentation + Research problem/motivation + Justification of the research (literature review) + Potential hypotheses and research questions + Planning + Expected outputs, both in terms of the thesis and dissemination.
- Second year: Presentation + Brief summary of FIRST YEAR [the research problem/motivation and justification of the research (literature review) + Hypotheses and research questions – just 1 or 2 slides)] + Definition of the methodology (rationale, structure, feasibility, and constraints) + Preliminary results obtained + Planning + Expected outputs, both in terms of the thesis and dissemination (identification of conferences and journals).
- Third and subsequent years: Presentation + Brief summary of PREVIOUS YEARS [research problem/motivation, justification of the research (literature review), hypotheses and research questions, and definition of the methodology (rationale, structure, feasibility, and constraints)] + Data collected in accordance with the methodology + Data analysis + Planning + Expected outputs, both in terms of the thesis and dissemination.
